All-in-One Campfire Meals

All-in-One Campfire Meals

The perfect end to a relaxing day

You’ve had a relaxing day at camp, filled with fun and activities. Now it’s time for dinner, and you don’t want to cook, but you’re far enough from civilization that you can’t order dinner either. Is there an easier alternative to cooking a big meal that you’d have to clean up after? Yes! Dinners in foil packs are easy to prepare, cook, and clean up afterward – just make sure you dispose of trash properly. You don’t have to spend a lot of time over the campfire cooking them, and there are no dishes to wash if you use plastic forks. The best part about foil pack dinners is how delicious they are.

Ooey, gooey asparagus

Make sure you get your veggies! This is a great way to roast asparagus on the campfire. Add in some spices, some oil, a ton of cheese, and asparagus. This one works well as a side or as a snack all on its own.

Veggies and meat done right

This is one of our favorites. You can add in any kind of meat you like or a combination of different types of meat to make the recipe pop. The combination of kielbasa and a variety of vegetables really makes your taste buds sing. The great thing about this meal is that it’s so simple to put together and doesn’t take a long time to cook. So if you’re hungry, go for this meal, and you’ll be eating in no time.

Asian-inspired pineapple chicken

We love the sweetness of this dinner, and the sauce is delicious. It takes a little bit of prep, but the end result is like something you’d get from your favorite Chinese restaurant. The chicken is tender, and the veggies have a nice firmness that contrasts the softness of the chicken and the pineapple. Make extra because you’re probably going to want seconds.

Foil pack take on peppers and sausage

We love sausage and peppers, and this way of cooking them is genius. You can add mushrooms if you’d like, or you can just add them to the packs of people who like them. Pair the meal with hot dog buns and you’re in for a treat. As always, prepping all your food before going camping will save you a lot of time once the fire is lit.

Tex-Mex done right

This packet has everything you love about Tex-Mex with zero guilt. There are plenty of vegetables and protein, and with the addition of guacamole, you’ll get a blast of flavor and nutrition. We love topping it with sour cream and cheese, but you can leave that off if you’d like. Try this one, and you won’t miss the takeout.

Did someone say pierogies?

That caught our attention! We love pierogies, but the issue we run into is what to pair them with so that we get our protein and veggies too. Foil packs answer that need. Pairing the sausage and veggies with the pierogies is a great idea for a filling, comforting meal!

Chicken and potatoes

This is a savory dish that we turn to time and time again when we’re craving a taste of home and a nice meal to share with the family around a campfire. You can add or remove spices as you see fit, but we think the spices used in this recipe are just perfect. The potatoes are cooked perfectly, and the chicken is juicy enough that you won’t want to stop eating it.
